Accounts and sign-in via Google / Facebook

You can create an account with an email/password, or sign in via Google or Facebook. In that case, we only receive the basic information shared by these services (name, email address, public profile picture) — we never receive your Google or Facebook password.

Cookies

The site uses two types of cookies:

Strictly necessary cookies (login session, anonymous browsing identifier) — set automatically, no consent required, as they are essential to the site's operation.
Audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics 4) — only set after you accept them via the banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will show the banner again.

Retention period

Account data: kept for as long as the account exists, deleted within 30 days after account deletion.
Chat messages: kept indefinitely unless deleted by the user or removed by moderation.
Audience measurement data: kept for up to 14 months (Google Analytics standard retention period).

Data sharing

Your data is never sold. It may be shared with the following technical providers, strictly to the extent necessary for the site to function:

Scaleway (server hosting, France)
Google Analytics (audience measurement, if you accepted the related cookies)
Google / Facebook (only if you choose to sign in via these services)

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, object to, and port your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at universflash[@]free.fr. You can also delete your account and its content directly from your profile page.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at www.cnil.fr if you believe your rights are not being respected.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
